Bobbinhood

My main tasks went from sharpening the brand positioning, translating it into a tangible marketing planning, from ideating social media ideas into solid plans and from new product launch planning to execution.

Bobbinhood, a creative company that sells screen printing appliances and that inspires thousands to create their own fair wardrobe, was founded by Barbare de Ru in 2015.

Barbara used to create women’s fashion for her own label, big industry icons and well-known fashion labels. But as she grew older, her sense of fairness grew stronger. So Barbara – who’s always cooking things up – decided she wanted to raise her girls differently. Going through her own wardrobe she noticed a lot of items were ‘fair’ already, but in the girls‘ closet there wasn’t much fairness going on.

Did you know that 168 MILLION kids are forced to work every day. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Pretty crazy right? So instead of complaining, she decided that she didn’t have to move mountains to make a difference. This is when Bobbinhood was born.

I came in as a marketing support mid 2022 when the pandemic was almost over. Barbara was searching for a regular and constant marketing and strategy support.

My tasks went from sharpening the brand positioning and translating it into a tangible marketing planning. From ideating social media ideas and translating them into solid plans. From new product set-up to launch planning to execution. Weekly interactions and a defined workload was set up to help organize the remote working relationship.

At some point, Barbara decided to stop selling inks, taking her ideas for Bobbinhood to a new adventure. I was lucky enough to accompany her during that phase and guide her along. I am even happier, that Barbaras and my work relationship will continue soon.
